You'd think that the price of daycare would go down when your child switches rooms (child:teacher ratio), yet I've been paying the same price from the time my daughter was 3 months to 20 months. They just 'happened' to start me out with a discount when my daughter was in the babyroom at $200 a week. Very money hungry. Did a chocolate sale to buy 'computers' and extended the sale to earn more, then re-did the floors, the kitchen, the walls, new furniture, block wall. I have yet to see computers. And don't ask the 'OWNER' for anything that's yours, because when it gets misplaced, its your fault. She doesnt take responsibility for anything. If you do have to stoop to this level and take your children here, MARK EVERYTHING! Diapers, wipes, medicine, sheets. We did this and we still came home with the wrong stuff almost weekly. And my children were always sick! When your kid gets bit, dont ask why or how, because your child will be the culprit. My daughter was bit 3 times and it was always her fault for 'starting it'. Never could get a straight answer. I would consider going somewhere else. My daughter is not allowed to graduate with her pre-k class because I asked the owner where a can of formula from an Earthquake Kit was. She will talk trash and run down other daycares in the blink of an eye, so dont think you're safe either! Seems to be very two faced, especially when she finds out you wont be coming back and giving her your money. I LOVED CANYON VISTA and I'm sorry I left. If you're looking for a good daycare, try that one out. You won't regret it! Just say NO TO OAKRIDGE!

On 7/6/09 parent of oakridge said... This parent below is full of crap. I was there when this happened. This parent would come storming in the classroom every morning with some kind of complaint. Her daughter would get dirty from playing, doing art and being a kid and she would get upset. She must of expected her daughter to sit there all day and do nothing. I don't mind if my child comes home dirty once in a whileas long as i know he learned something that day and was being a kid. If my child came home every day clean I would wonder what they did all day. The owner is a very giving person and is trying to clean up the school for her student, instead of putting the money in her pocket. I think this is a wonderful thing she is doing. I feel my child is in a clean and safer environment. I notice in other school that I've been at charges you a lot and their school smells like an old basement and looks like the carpet was there from when i was in preschool.I wonder where my money would be going to in these other schools. The owner of oakridge would even give lunch to children when their parents forgot to bring it. By the way if this parent would look around she would see that the computers are there in the classroom. From what I understand she was kicked out of canyon vista for not cooperating with the school rules she didn't leave on her own terms.We are also told to put our child's name on all the belongings like in every school beacuse student might have the same things. I never had anything thing missing. I guess this was another rule the parent below didn't want to follow.the student teacher ratio is very good here, I dont know what this parent is talking about. I love this school very much and believe that this parent was the problem not the school. As another parent I wouldn't want my child to be around people like this parent. They would complain about her child coming home in school clothes, because like i said her daughter was playing and got dirty and I guess they didn't have a extra change of clothes in her cubby. This school is a really loving environment and has small classes for your child to get enough attention. i just noticed every times this parent came in she didn't want to follow the school rules. she wanted to school to revolve around her and you can't do that when you have other children to attend too. SCHOOL RULES ARE MADE FOR A REASON My child has a blast and I never had a problem with this school at all. If I was the owner I wouldn't have had this parent at grad. at all for all the trouble she caused. Come Check it out for yourself!!!!!
